ANDREW BEARD artist/printmaker
Andrew has enjoyed drawing and sketching since he was a child, which led him into a long and enjoyable career as an architect. He was introduced to printmaking at a summer school at Falmouth College of Art a decade ago, where Becky Haughton taught him the basics of etching and aquatint. The process fascinated him, and he has since been a regular visitor to John Howard’s Print Studio in Penryn, where he has been expertly mentored. He continues to produce figurative etchings on copper plate with aquatint, generally of landscapes and buildings in and around Newlyn, West Cornwall and the Derbyshire Dales.
